School Play Was A Great Success!

Junior High students, Andrew Dolomount and Patrick Davis open a geocahce they helped locate at the participark as part of their enrichment class last week.

We hope everyone enjoyed a nice long weekend. Now we are back and getting all the lowdown on everyone’s weekend.

The 101 Dalmatian play was a great success! Thank you to Mr. Graham, Mrs. McCarthy, Mr. Hancock, Mrs. Deckert, Mrs. Furlong, Mrs. Farrell and all the students and staff for all their hard work. Everyone did an exceptional job.

On Wednesday of this week students Jasmine Penney, Carla du Toit, Claire Reynolds and Mr. Graham were interviewed by CBC radio. The students also sang Kanine Krunchies for the radio and again for cable 9 TV.

Last week there was a draw for a big screen TV. Dave Pardy of Corner Brook was the lucky winner.

CRT’s began yesterday for grades 3 and 6. Good luck everyone and try your best.

Today is casual day! We are glad the musical is over and now we get to relax in our casual clothes today.

The school concert band is busy practicing pieces for our end of year awards assembly. They will play “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”. The junior high enrichment class is busy organizing this assembly.

Class News
The Junior Kindergarten classes are started the number 10 and are making art pieces for the upcoming art show. Today they are saying goodbye to their CONA intern Sara Rozee. Thank you for all your help!

The Kindergarten class had a lot of fun during the musical. They are busy preparing to finish their kindergarten year.

The grade one class is learning about insects in science and worked really hard on the musical. They did great as Chihuahuas.

The grade two class worked really hard at the musical and really rocked the poodle parts. They are preparing for First Holy Communion this weekend.

The grade three and four class is happy about the outcome of the play and are continuing to learn about landscape in science.

The grade 5 and 6 class had a band test on Wednesday. They are working really hard on French letters about St. Pierre.

The junior high class have just completed a social studies unit on how Newfoundland was affected by WW2 and will be creating models and pictures.

Coming Up
The grade two first Holy Communion is this Sunday at All Hallows church at 10:30 am.

The school art show is June 3rd at 6:00 pm. All families are welcome to come check out our student’s talent.
