Father Roache performs magic tricks for Mrs. Heather Preze Diaz's Kindergarten French Immersion class.

This has been a great week of school. Students and staff of Immaculate Heart of Mary School have been working hard writing exams and learning new things.

We would like to extend best wishes to Gabrielli Barbosa Da Silva, Matheus De Souza Simoes Vicente and Luan Marcolio Dias who will be returning to Brazil on Sunday. They were a wonderful addition to our school and we are very sad to see them leave.

We would like to extend a thank you to Mrs.Coleman for arranging Father Roaches visit to our school. Everyone really enjoyed his magic tricks.

We would like to welcome Ms. Stacy MacDonald to our I.H.M.S. staff. Ms. MacDonald is doing a replacement position in our office.

Many of our teachers are implementing Mathletics in their classes to enrich the provincial curriculum. Our classes are enjoying immensely this interactive way of  learning Math.

We would like to congratulate Isaac Buckingham whose team won a gold medal at the Novice I invitational Hockey Tournament this past weekend. Isaac had two goals and an assist. He was also the winner of the hockey stick autographed by Daniel Cleary.

Best of luck to; Caylie Blake, Anna Brake, and Olivia Park who will participate in the Divisional Figure Skating Championship this weekend in Gander.

The Enrichment group had a wonderful time at Marble Mountain on Wednesday afternoon, skiing and snowboarding. Thank you Mr. Gillard for organizing this activity.

The Mid-Term exams concluded today.

There will be a Grade 6 girls’ basketball practice on Sunday at 5:00p.m. This practice is open to girls from grade 3 to 6.
