We started the week off with our Janeway fundraiser.  Tickets were on sale all week for the raffle theme baskets. There are baskets of BBQ supplies, kitchen items, candy, a movie basket and much more. Tickets are $0.50 each of 3 for $1. They are on sale until May 30!

Last weekend some of our students also had a lemonade stand to raise money for the janeway telethon. Hala Parsons, Lydia Parsons, Natalie Parsons, Kate Lombard, Rebecca Janes and Mark Janes donated all their earnings for the Janeway fundraiser. Thank you so much!

This week our school hosted orientation sessions for new junior kindergarten students, kindergarten English and French Immersion and grade 1 English and French Immersion on Wednesday afternoon. Our grade 1 students even got to go to grade 2 for the afternoon!

There is a boys’ soccer tournament this weekend at JJ Curling School. Our boys will play their first game today at 5 pm. They will also play on Saturday at 9 am and at noon.

The junior kindergarten three class would like to thank Ms. Sonya Perrett for the donation of toys to their classroom. Miss Jessi Martin applied for a grant for their playground. They are asking for everyone to vote for their project. Their idea is called “The Great Outdoors”, you can vote at http://learningproject.cst.org/ideas/276.
Mme. Brake’s Kindergarten French Immersion class is busy preparing their science fair project on germs. They have started a new numbers unit in Math. They can count to 100 in French, wow!
