Christmas Character Day. From L-R: Kyra Hodder, Simon Boitstefski and Jack Matthews.

Last Friday we had our very first Dog Show and More Show. Thank you to Ms. Dutton and the grade 3 and 4 class. The show was a huge success. They raised over $400 for their SMARTboard. Thank you to Dr. Michael Tipple and Ms. Park for being judges and to all the students and families for supporting the show.

This past Saturday students participated in a fundraiser at Dominion. Students helped customers by putting their groceries in their cart. We raised $1,601.61 for our playground project. Thank you to Dominion for offering us this fundraiser and to the parents and students who participated.

This week Mrs. Hodder’s Kindergarten class did the third week of Advent celebration in chapel. They did a great job. Many of their parents came to watch.

Our Christmas concert on Tuesday was a great success. Thank you to all the students and teachers for all your hard work. Thank you to Mr. Graham and Mrs. McHugh for leading the choirs and bands, Claire Reynolds and Mrs. McCarthy for filming the entire concert, Mr. Danny Piercey for doing the sound and Mr. Kennedy and the staff for decorating the gym. Also, we would like to thank Santa for the early gift of a new sound system.

Also on Tuesday we had a Christmas Character Theme day. Our theme day was in aid of Multiple Sclerosis.

On Wednesday night our school choir sang for the annual Tree Lighting at Remembrance Square.
