Over the summer I.H.M.S. had a student who excelled in an extra-curricular heritage/ history project. Gina Spencer, in grade 5, competed in a country wide contest held by Canada’s History for Kids, and has been chosen out of hundreds of applicants. Gina’s video was voted as one of the top thirty videos in Canada! Gina’s project features an informational video on catholic educators, The Presentation Sisters of Newfoundland and Labrador. Gina Spencer will find out if her video and project will advance to the finals in October, when judges will choose the top six projects in Canada. Good luck Gina!
