On Monday it was the school’s 14th birthday celebration. We had a theme day and an assembly in our school gym. All classes participated in our celebration.

Also on Monday the breakfast program started. We have some great volunteers this year preparing the toast.

Our new afterschool program schedule started this week. Some of the new activities are yoga, reading club, homework club, crocheting, sewing, gym activities, drama, arts and crafts, computers and greenhouse activities.

The IHMS running club began on Tuesday and will meet every Tuesday and Thursday. The first running meet will be September 25. They had a great turn out on Tuesday.

Chamber choir started this week with Dr. Graham. It will be held in the music room on Wednesdays at lunch time.  It is open to students in grade 3 to level 1.

Our media centre is up and running. This week our school news reporters were Hajra Ahmad, Emily Murley, Isaac Buckingham and Simon Boitsefski.

Intramurals also started this week. The students are in two separate groups grade 3 to 5 and grades 6 to level 1.
Our reporters apologize for reporting the wrong name of one of our grade 7 Mexican exchange students. His correct name is Nicolas Emiiano Herrera.
