Our school will continue to collect bread tags until December 11. We reached our goal of 5,000 bread tags and have collected another 2,200 bread tags. For every 5,000 bread tags collected a wheelchair will be purchased for an elderly person in South Africa.

This week students in kindergarten to grade six took part in presentations on Monday and Tuesday with representatives from Newfoundland Light and Power. The theme was “Take Charge”. Sessions were given by Ashleigh Halliday and Carl Bishop. All the classes really enjoyed the presentations.

On Thursday our students and staff wore special moustaches to support Movember. Students donated $1 for men’s health initiatives. Student Leadership council students were collecting donations and painting moustaches for students throughout the day.

The grade 6 girls’ basketball team is playing in a tournament this weekend at Grenfell Campus. The first game is today at 5:30 pm.

Sunday is our annual Tree Trimming Social. New families are invited to bring an ornament to hang on the school Christmas tree. Join us for prizes, snacks and singing from 4:00-5:30 pm.
