I am delighted to inform you
that our school is the recipient of a $13,500 grant from the Department of
Business, Tourism, Culture and Rural Development (BTCRD's) Youth Innovation for
our project, Western Region First League Lego Robotics Innovation
Competition. There will be some fifty
schools invited to participate in this Grade 7 - 9 competition. Our Level I and II students will be trained
to serve as judges, score keepers, time keepers and announcers.
We are very excited about this project as not only will it be the first robotics competition for our school to host, it will be the first ever competition to be held west of St. John's.
