This week IHMS students and families honoured our veterans with a Remembrance Day Assembly. We would like to thank Mr. Drew Nadon and the grade seven and eight students for organizing this annual event. All classes participated in honouring our veterans. The senior band performed and Christian Mouland played the last post. We would like to thank Mr. Al O’Connell of the Royal Canadian Legion, Father White, Lt(N) Cheryl Cull, and Captain Jason Cull for their contributions to our annual assembly.
Our basketball season is well underway. The grade six boys’ and girls’ basketball teams are looking forward to their first tournament. The grade three and four teams will begin skill development following the long weekend.
The kindergarten and grade three classes were involved with a live chat with students in Barcelona. A student from the class in Barcelona came to their class along with his sister and parents. They shared traditions regarding Halloween with the students. They learned a lot about the customs and traditions that take place in Barcelona.
The Knights of Columbus is hosting a Merchandise Bingo at our school on November 25 and selling 50/50 tickets in aid of our school gym floor project.
